There you have it, folks. Proof that I do, on occasion, still crochet.
[Shouts of "Photoshopped!" from the crowd.]
The fact that I started this particular blanket in 2009 and I'm still only about half-way, should give you some idea of just how "occasional" my crafting is these days. Another interest is taking up most of my time. But I'm hoping to dust off my hooks and do a bit more, and maybe even design a little something for you all again.
Give yourself a little time each day to do something that makes you happy.

Could you people generous enough to offer free patterns, please make them so that we don't get stuck wasting paper with all of the advertising & comments posted by others ???? I am getting reluctant to print off patterns, wasting a lot of ink !
ReplyDeleteIt would be greatly appreciated......regards from British Columbia, Canada
Dear SailingLotus, there's nothing I can do about how my posts here on Blogger print out. I can, however, recommend PrintFriendly (https://www.printfriendly.com/). I've been using it for a couple of year now.
ReplyDeleteFrom their website -
"PrintFriendly cleans and formats web pages for perfect print experience. PrintFriendly removes Ads, Navigation and web page junk, so you save paper and ink when you print. It's free and easy to use. Perfect to use at home, the office, or whenever you need to print a web page."
I see that they provide code for a website button. I may well add the a button to my blog for others who aren't aware of this useful facility.
Ok, the Printfriendly button has been added! Select the post you want to print, then click the button. A window will open showing a stripped down version of the post, allowing you to "delete", by just clicking on it, any additional items you don't want to print. Hope that helps.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI just found a pattern you posted in your blog in 2012 believe it or not. It's called walled Garden square (or not). It's a beautiful square. When I first came across it I wasn't good at reading patterns yet. I self taught myself to read patterns in 2013ish. I started making squares from this pastern in 2015 for a mood blanket. I still have all the squares I made but haven't quite finished all 365 days worth. I'm thinking of finishing it this year. I just wanted to take a minute and thank you for that pattern. Lydia, Thank you so much for commenting. I'm glad you like that square (I do, too) and I love the idea of a mood blanket. I'd really like to see a picture of it when it's done, or just the pile of squares for now. ;) Are you on Ravelry? I'm JudyK there, or I can be contacted on sofar_sogood at btinternet dot com. Keep on hookin'!
